Why do some people abuse their position, power, or influence and use it to exploit others? We read about it all of the time, politicians, police officers, teachers, pastors and other people of influence using their position for their own gain.
James 3:16 tells us, "Wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind."
Jealousy and selfish ambitions are indicators of pride and they begin in the heart. Left unchecked they will morph into disorder and evil of every kind. This Sunday we follow Jesus as He confronts the selfish ambition of the religious leaders and as He warns us to not let our attitudes remain unchecked...
