Properly loving others involves the appropriate response to either celebration or sadness. In fact, I think the following verse describes what happens when we learn to respond appropriately: “Live in harmony with each other.”
Harmony is a musical term that is defined as, “The combination of simultaneously sounded musical notes to produce a pleasing effect.” Some notes sound good together, some do not. Diversity is necessary for harmony – diversity adds depth and beauty to a note that is being played.
The idea of living in harmony with each other involves listening to each other, bringing empathy and resonance and sharing deeply of our lives with each other.
