Series:

This Sunday we will be spending some time on the story of Frederick Douglass.  Frederick Douglass was born as a slave sometime in 1818.  He escaped slavery and became a great American orator, writer, abolitionist, and adviser to several presidents.

Douglass was born a slave but he didn’t allow his position as a slave limit him.  He had a hunger and a thirst for freedom and equality from a young age and had a passion to teach others and bring them up out of slavery as well.

Disciples of Jesus are learning who they are in Christ and are fighting for freedom from sin.  They are also helping others in their victory over bondage.
