Bible Text: 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12 |

Series:

If we want to continue to grow in the likeness of Jesus, we will need to invite other Christians into the depths of our lives that will challenge us beyond who we are and what we’ve become.

This means we need to learn how to be vulnerable and authentic, so we can be fully known.  It also means we need to learn to ask deep probing questions instead living on the surface.

Brené Brown, “Vulnerability is at the core, the centre of meaningful human experience and existence.

Tim Keller, “To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial.  To be known and not loved is our greatest fear.  But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God.  It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.
