John Eldridge, in his book “Beautiful Outlaw” says, “An artist is revealed in the work he or she creates, and in the abundance of the work created.

What does the season of fall tell us about the character of Jesus?

I believe it gives us an example of the generosity, the extravagance and the intensely personal nature of God.

Isaiah 40:26 says, “Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

If you’ve ever seen the night sky on a clear night away from town, you get the sense that God wasn’t stingy when He created the heavens.

God created all this beauty for HIS pleasure:

  • He enjoys being extravagant and generous and beautiful.
  • There are galaxies that humans can’t see, created for HIS pleasure.
  • He created the beauty and complexity of life on earth for HIS pleasure.
