Bible Text: Mark 3:1-6 | Stephen Weenink
Series: Do What Jesus Did Walking in the Way
Jesus seemed to rub religious people the wrong way. During His short ministry career He ended up offending Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes, and Zealots. Jesus didn't fit into their religious boxes and didn't agree with their religious ideologies. Jesus never put religion first, but rather put people first.
When asked what the Greatest Commandment was, Jesus replied, "The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these."
Jesus taught and demonstrated that the way God is LOVED and HONOURED and WORSHIPED is by loving others. We would do well to imitate Him.
