Bible Text: Ephesians 4:17-24, Romans 12:2, Colossians 3:1-4 | Stephen Weenink
The Greatest Command is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength… we can’t neglect our minds: Giving directed attention to God.
Some of the greatest ways to give directed attention to God are intentional times of silence and solitude or meditation, they give us opportunity to meet with Him, be ministered to by Him.
- One of the key parts of meditating is spending time in the Bible.
- We need to fill our minds with the thoughts of God…
- Read a devotional, take part in a reading plan.
- Don’t do it just to check off a list, do it so that your mind has God’s truth.
- Allow a verse or a phrase to roll around in your mind throughout the day.
If you’re feeling lonely or angry or rejected or tempted, ask God to reveal to you His truth about the situation… Remember, you have the power to choose what you give directed attention to.
