Bible Text: Luke 11:1-11 |

Series:

As Christians, we believe that God is both transcendent (which means He is outside the scope of human understanding) and immanent (which means that He is knowable). Some schools of thought believe that God is neither transcendent (and thus belittle His holiness and otherness) or immanent (which is deism - existing only as the mechanism by which life was created - but, otherwise uninvolved in our lives).

It is incredible to reason that God can encapsulate both of these extremes. He is complex, holy, other... and yet, in His great love and mercy, He makes Himself knowable to you and me, and beyond this, intervenes on our behalf. This very thought humbles us and leads us to worship!

This Sunday, Pastor John unpacks Luke 11, which demonstrates just how close God is to those who call out to Him!
