We've been following the trajectory of Peter's discipleship - it hasn't been a smooth journey. Peter's story culminates around the arrest and crucifixion of Jesus where Peter denies being associated with Jesus. As the rooster crows, Jesus turns and gives Peter a look... What a horrible way to end your relationship with someone...
However, this isn't the end of the story. Jesus rises from the dead and Jesus has a choice to either condemn Peter or forgive him and restore him to relationship. Guess which direction Jesus chooses... Even when we are unfaithful, Jesus will remain faithful to us! What love!
