Advent, the season of waiting and anticipation. Counting down the days until vacation, that big promotion, retirement, or that next big purchase. Typically waiting and anticipation comes along with the promise of something great! The season of advent is a season marked with the anticipated arrival of the Saviour of the world.
The promised Saviour would bring freedom to captives, a time of the favour of God. The promised Saviour brought hope. Hope that light could come out of darkness. Hope that peace could come out of turmoil. Hope that wholeness could come out of brokenness. Hope that forgiveness could come out of broken relationship.
This Sunday Mike Gibbons and Cecil Cockram share with us the Hope of Christmas and how that HOPE resulted in the cross of Christ that culminated in our redemption.
