Compromise isn’t usually a huge act of disobedience; it normally starts as a minor slip in your thinking or behavior toward God. But the more we do this, the easier it is to rationalize.
James 1:14-15, “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.”
When we don’t hold ourselves to God’s standards, we weaken our conscience and we open ourselves up to compromising other areas of our lives. It’s hard to regain your original position once you’ve compromised.
