Bible Text: Mark 2:27-28, Mark 3:1-6 | John Cook, Stephen Weenink
Series: Moving the Needle
The world was created with a sacred rhythm: 6 days of purposeful work followed by 1 day of life-giving rest. This rest was called Sabbath and it was to be a day of enjoyment and connection with our Heavenly Father, recognizing that He is the source of all things, not us. Unfortunately, as humanity has becoming increasingly busy, we've lost this rhythm and have fallen into unhealthy patterns of stress, excess, and hurry.
This Sunday we will be looking at what the Bible teaches us about Sabbath and how this invitation to rest may be just the thing that we need in order to feel healthy and complete. Could an extra day of margin in our week actually help make us more productive in other areas of our life? We believe it could.
